Why is it so hard for a hospital to make an appointment and stick to it? I know we asked for a cancellation date to be considered for my wife's Back Op, and they've rang once with an early date which we agreed.
Unfortunately this date clashed with a fishing trip I'd booked so I had to ring the Skipper of the boat and beg him to cancel the booking. He was able to rebook me for an earlier date so I wouldn't lose any cash...
Today the hospital has called with a different date which is a "take it or go back onto the main waiting list" offer and guess what - it clashes with my rebooked fishing trip...
Obviously I can't put a fishing trip before my wife, but why does the NHS have to make my life miserable? Why can't they set a date and stick to it? Don't they understand that we may have lives outside the hospital?
