Doesn't Time Fly?

It was pointed out to me yesterday that I let the second anniversary of Fitzmartyn Tackle slip by without comment. Did it need comment? More likely it needed an apology… Smile

Fitzmartyn Tackle and Seagull Rigs have gone through a few cosmetic changes during the last couple of years but our basic ethos of “the best tackle at the cheapest possible price” has remained constant, many of our customers have remained constant with lots more new customers joining us, the retailers that stock our rigs have remained constant, etc, etc, etc.

One area which hasn’t remained constant is the growth in orders…. Apologies to customers for the delays in getting some orders out because of this growth. We need to recruit another person to the rig building side but training and quality assurance take time to develop in someone new and in the meantime we still have to keep testing and developing our rigs.

Another area which hasn’t remained constant is the Saltwater Fly Fishing side of the business. There has been an explosion in order for flies and no shortage of requests for training sessions and guiding days, so many in fact that it’s become necessary for me to get some Sea Angling and Game Fishing Coaching qualifications. This shouldn’t put any more strain on the business, it may even ease the strain if we link in with other Coaches in the neighbourhood.

So… A few birthday blues, but a few reasons to celebrate too. On balance I think the best answer is to ignore everything and go fishing The Bass are about and the Cod are here so why am I sat at a computer keyboard. Where’s my rod? Very Happy
