Haiku & Verse
A haiku is a poem of three lines consisting of 5, 7, and 5 syllables in that order. It originated in Japan in the 17th century but gained popularity in the west in the early 20th century due to adoption by English language poets such as Ezra Pound.

My bed's a haven
Soft, warm and comfortable
Remote from life's pain
Don't matter if the road is long
Don't matter if it's steep
Don't matter if the moon is gone
And the darkness is complete
Don't matter if we lose our way
It's written that we'll meet
At least, that's what I heard you say
